GREENVILLE — Kylie Conley, the MS/HS Library media specialist, is collaborating with English teachers Michael Morelli and Melissa Palmer to bring personal stories of World War II from community members into the ninth-grade classroom.
Before the students complete a novel study on “Impossible Escape: A True Story of Survival and Heroism in Nazi Europe,” this enrichment project will them a better understanding of how the war had an impact on their community.
Conley is looking for a wide range of personal stories from the World War II era — not only stories from those who served in the war, but also stories about what life was like for non-service members at the time.
People are encouraged to submit the stories of their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.
Submissions should be audio or video recordings. If you would prefer to submit photos or a written story, please email Kylie Conley to make arrangements.
To submit stories, please email Kylie Conley (conleyk@greenvillecsd.org) by Nov. 1.
