Charlotte Sena, the 9-year-old girl who went missing Saturday evening, was found Monday evening and is in good health, according to New York State Police.

A suspect has been arrested in the case and the investigation continues, state police said Monday.

An individual was identified as being in the vicinity of Moreau Lake State Park on the day of Charlotte’s disappearance, according to state police.

“Further investigation led to the search of multiple residences where the individual is known to reside,” state police said Monday night. “Upon the search of those residences, at approximately 6:32 p.m. on October 2, 2023, State Police located Charlotte Sena safe and in good health. The suspect was taken into custody.”

The identity of the suspect has not been released.

The rescue comes following a massive search-and-rescue effort that involved 400 searchers combing Moreau Lake State Park in Saratoga County, the last place Charlotte was seen before she was found Monday evening.

Law enforcement including state police, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service, as well as dozens of volunteer fire companies and other trained searchers, were involved in the search.

State police said more details will be released about the investigation as they become available.
