GREENVILLE — A 32-year-old woman is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center at press time after being shot in the pelvis Sunday evening.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the woman about a violent domestic dispute at a King Hill Road home in the town of Greenville, according to police. The woman’s name was not released.
Deputies say they found the woman outside the residence. There, they applied a tourniquet and transported her in a patrol car to a landing zone, where they were met by Greene County EMS.
The woman was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where she underwent emergency surgery.
Sean Davis, 63, was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
Davis was arraigned in Coxsackie Town Court and remanded to the Greene County Correctional Facility without bail, pending a further court appearance.
Deputies say their investigation is ongoing and no other information is available at this time, but additional charges against Davis are possible.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police, the Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Greenville Ambulance Squad, the LifeNet helicopter and county emergency services.
