Pictured with CGHS/SPCA Kennel Supervisor Alexa Caunitz is Sadie, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix. She was surrendered to us due to landlord issues. She’s a very spunky and playful girl who loves toys and playing with her favorite human more than anything else. Sadie is good with dogs but isn’t good with cats. We believe older or sturdy kids are best for her because of her energy level. Sadie is very smart and quick to learn and is searching for the perfect home to give her the training and love she needs. ‘Tis the season of joy, gratitude and giving back. At the Columbia-Greene Humane Society facility, our hearts are overflowing with appreciation for the incredible support we have received from our dedicated staff, generous board members, and the warm-hearted community that surrounds our nonprofit animal shelter.

As we reflect on another year of tireless efforts, selfless compassion, and countless lives touched, we are reminded that our accomplishments are made possible only through the collective spirit of our beloved team.

To our caring staff members, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment to the well-being of every furry resident that finds solace within our walls. Your dedication and hard work, day in and day out, often go unnoticed, but the impact you have on the lives of these vulnerable animals is immeasurable. Your kindness knows no bounds, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

To our esteemed board members, we express our heartfelt appreciation for your steadfast guidance and invaluable contributions. Your leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering belief in our mission have paved the way for us to continue making a lasting difference in the lives of countless animals. With your wisdom and passion, you have helped shape CGHS/SPCA into the sanctuary it is today, and we are privileged to have you by our side in our journey towards a more compassionate world.

But our gratitude stretches far beyond our shelter’s walls, encompassing the extended family that is our local community. To the compassionate individuals who have rallied behind us, donating their time, resources and love, we are profoundly grateful. Your unwavering support has enabled us to rescue, house and find loving forever homes for so many deserving animals. From the small acts of volunteering to the generous donations that sustain our operations, each contribution has made a tangible difference in the lives of these voiceless creatures. Your kindness knows no bounds, and it is an inspiration to us all.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the local businesses and organizations that have lent a helping hand. Your partnerships, sponsorships and fundraisers have enabled us to expand our reach, raise awareness, and provide even more comprehensive care to the animals in our charge. Whether through events, promotions or providing supplies, your unwavering support has made a significant impact in our community, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

As we enter the holiday season, a time of warmth and togetherness, let us remember that our collective efforts have brought light into the lives of countless animals. The wag of a tail, the purr of contentment, and the lasting bond between a pet and their human companion – these are the heartwarming moments we cherish because of your support.

May the spirit of gratitude and compassion be felt by all, reminding us of the power of collective care and inspiring us to continue making a difference in the lives of our four-legged friends. We are honored to have you as part of the CGHS/SPCA family, and with your continued support, we look forward to bringing hope, healing and forever homes to even more animals in need.

From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our warmest wishes for a joyous holiday season and a prosperous new year. Thank you for being the driving force behind CGHS/SPCA, and for proving that together, we can create a brighter future for every precious life that comes through our doors!
