Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties will present the “Taste of Twin Counties” Fall Harvest fundraising event on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., at The BARN at Liberty Farms in Ghent.
All proceeds earned from this fundraiser will directly support the future work of Cornell Cooperative Extension. Year-round, CCE offers various workshops to the public, conducts conservation management across New York state, educates the public on childhood health and nutrition, supports local farmers who grow our food, and much more.
CCE would not be able to offer these valuable opportunities to the public without generous fundraising and donation support from our nearby communities, organizers said.
The evening will feature local chef Tom Ellis preparing meats from The Johnk Family Farm in Greene County, a silent auction, a dessert selection, and robust charcuterie spread highlighting local products from the Taste NY Market. The market is managed by CCE Columbia & Greene Counties.
The BARN at Liberty Farms is a rustic-themed wedding barn venue with over 400 acres of serene pastures, making it the perfect countryside location for the Fall harvest-inspired event.
Anyone from Greene and Columbia Counties or nearby areas is welcome to join in. Ticket prices are $80 per person, or $150 for two attendees, and you can find more detailed information/register at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/taste-of-twin-counties-tickets-690129244147?aff=oddtdtcreator .
