The performance “Bach, Bagels, Broadway & Beyond” will feature live music performed by internationally recognized guitar virtuoso Robert Secrist on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 3-5 p.m. at the historic Gristmill in the heart of South Westerlo.
The Gristmill is located at 268 County Route 405 in South Westerlo, NY 12083. Suggested donation is $15.
This special performance by virtuoso guitarist Robert Secrist will spotlight selections from his brand-new CD recording “Songs Without Words,” featuring unique arrangements from the Great American song book, including iconic jazz standards as well as beloved Broadway show tunes and melodies from classic Hollywood films of yesteryear.
The program will also be seasoned with repertoire that spans 500 years of music from classical guitar literature. Robert Secrist brings a lyric and breathtaking artistry recognized by Andres Segovia, the great Spanish maestro and grandfather of the classical guitar.
Just released under the “Be Nice or Leave” record label, this new recording is a continuation of the Real Reel Music campaign to celebrate and preserve musical culture as well as the astonishing biodiversity and beauty of the natural world.
