
COEYMANS HOLLOW — Fall is in the air and fishing is still underway, which is why you’ll want to join Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy at the Albany County Fall Festival at Lawson Lake County Park, at 293 Lawson Lake Road.
There will be pumpkins, doughnuts, crafts, hiking, fishing, a live musical performance and more. The Fall Festival is being hosted by the Albany County Department of Parks & Recreation and the Albany County Department for Children, Youth and Families – Youth Bureau on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also joining in the festivities will be Indian Ladder Farms, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and the Coeymans Hollow Fire Department.
The Hilltown Ramblers will perform live music from 12-3 p.m., there will be pumpkin and apple crafts and face painting for the kids, and Kevin Fuerst will make a presentation of Native American history.
The Albany County Department of Health will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from noon to 3 p.m. with Pfizer and Moderna first and second doses and the updated booster for everyone ages 5 and up. Vaccines are free and no insurance is needed.
There will also be a ribbon cutting for the new dock on the lake.
